2EyesVision develops disruptive solutions in ophthalmology, focused on improving the patient experience and supporting clinical decision-making. Its innovative visual simulator, SimVis Gekko, allows patients to experience what their vision will be like after cataract or presbyopia surgery, enhancing communication with the physician, reducing uncertainty, and increasing postoperative satisfaction.
The new generation of the device, SimVis Gekko2, incorporates the Pupil Monitoring System, which facilitates its integration into the clinical workflow thanks to faster, more accurate, and more stable alignment.
The company is working on new technologies that continue to position it as a benchmark in the field of visual health. 2EyesVision, initially promoted by CSIC scientists in collaboration with leading engineers and ophthalmologists, is backed by CDTI, currently participating in the company through the Innvierte initiative and previously through the Neotec program, which supports the creation and consolidation of technology-based companies. In addition to CDTI, a public entity of the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, the company is supported by ERC, CSIC, the Community of Madrid, EIT Health, Horizon 2020 (European Union), Bullnet Capital, ENISA, and Luminate (an international fund specialized in optics and photonics, based in New York).
Currently, SimVis technology, which has been very well received in the market, is already present in 19 countries, has scientific validation through more than 25 publications, and is supported by an international Medical Advisory Board.
Through Innvierte, CDTI Innovación has closed an investment transaction in this company together with BULLNET CAPITAL III, SOCIEDAD DE CAPITAL-RIESGO PYME, S.A. (Bullnet Capital), with an investment amount of €284,000, totaling €3 million committed. Thanks to this participation, CDTI Innovación contributes to the development of disruptive ophthalmology technologies that facilitate clinical decision-making and improve the patient experience. Following this institutional round, the company plans to open investment opportunities to individual investors.
