Mitie Group PLC, the UK-based leader in facilities management services, has announced the acquisition of Grupo Visegurity, a prominent Spanish security company. The transaction, valued at up to €11 million, includes an initial payment of €9 million, with additional deferred payments of up to €2 million, subject to the company’s performance over the next two years.
With over 20 years of experience and based in Barcelona, Grupo Visegurity is well known for its manned guarding services, alarm response, and access control, in addition to concierge services, security patrols, and advanced security systems. These services are supported by its 24/7 operational control centre and a workforce of over 600 employees. The company holds a national licence to operate across Spain.
This acquisition significantly strengthens Mitie’s service offering in Spain, consolidating its position in the competitive security market and complementing its extensive client base across sectors such as healthcare, telecommunications, and public administration. The deal aligns with Mitie’s strategic plan to expand its presence in the Spanish Facility Management sector, aiming for both organic and inorganic growth.
