The Regional Development Agency (INFO) also facilitated more than €98.5 million in additional funding, mobilised €56 million in private investment and executed 19 investment projects worth €425 million.
The Regional Ministry of Business, Employment and Social Economy, through the Regional Development Agency of Murcia (INFO), approved a total of 1,062 grant applications in 2025, amounting to €30.8 million.
These initiatives leveraged more than €56 million in private investment and are expected to help maintain 32,270 jobs, while supporting the creation of 1,047 new positions, according to the annual results presented today to the agency's Board of Directors.
The Regional Minister for Business, Employment and Social Economy, Luis Alberto Marín, stated that these results "demonstrate an economic policy focused on supporting business projects from the initial idea through to investment, innovation, job creation and international expansion."
"Our roadmap is to stand alongside companies in their most important business decisions, helping them grow, adopt new technologies and compete in increasingly demanding global markets," he added.
Among the main support programmes were funding for technology centres, which received nearly €9 million; productive and technological investments by SMEs, with €4.7 million; business R&D projects, which received almost €5 million across different funding calls; and internationalisation initiatives, including trade fairs and trade missions, which exceeded €5 million.
The agency also supported innovative and high-growth companies, improvements to industrial parks, dual-use technology projects, and specialised services in digitalisation, sustainability and access to private investment.
INFO's activity extended well beyond grant funding. Through its Financial Office, the agency assisted 3,493 companies and self-employed professionals and facilitated access to more than €98.5 million in additional financing through CDTI, ENISA, Murcia Emprende, the regional guarantee system and regional investment incentives.
In the area of internationalisation, 543 companies participated in 64 trade promotion activities across five continents, while 1,819 businesses took part in promotional events, training programmes and services delivered through the Enterprise Europe Network.
The year also saw the consolidation of several strategic initiatives under the CAETRA programme, including progress on the Region's bid to join the European Space Agency's Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC) network, as well as strengthened cooperation with the Spanish Navy, Telefónica, the Defence University Centre of the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT) and the University of Murcia.
In entrepreneurship, INFO organised 116 events attended by more than 6,700 participants and supported 221 entrepreneurial projects through the Punto Pyme Network.
In investment attraction, the agency executed 19 investment projects worth €425.1 million, expected to generate 235 jobs, while confirming a further seven investment projects representing €116 million in investment and the creation of more than 120 additional jobs.
These investments reflect a highly capital-intensive profile, with a strong focus on renewable energy and the consolidation of industrial projects, highlighting the Region of Murcia's ability to attract and deliver large-scale investments aligned with major global economic trends.
Concluding, Luis Alberto Marín said: "These results are the outcome of a government strategy aimed at technologically transforming our productive economy, strengthening regional value chains and positioning our companies in the sectors that will define competitiveness in the years ahead. The Region of Murcia is committed to contributing industrial capabilities, knowledge and innovation to Europe's shared objective of achieving greater technological autonomy and sovereignty."
