Alantra has acted as Lead Manager on the successful Initial Public Offering (“IPO”) of Gens Aurea, formerly OroCash, a leading European group in the buying and selling of gold and precious metals.
The transaction raised more than €100mn and represents the largest IPO on the Italian Stock Exchange in the past three years, as well as the first listing during this period to achieve a valuation in excess of €1bn. The offering attracted strong demand, particularly from international investors.
Gens Aurea has more than twenty years of experience in the market and operates across four key areas: gold buying, jewelry, investment gold and buy-back. The Group has built a vertically integrated platform supported by an ecosystem of eight brands, including OroCash, Luxury Zone, GioiaPura, Alfieri & St.John, OroCaja, Super Efectivo, OuroCaixa and OroCash Invest.
With revenue of more than €830mn, adjusted EBITDA of €105.2mn, more than 530 physical outlets across five countries and over 11 tonnes of gold handled in 2025, Gens Aurea has developed a significant European platform at the intersection of precious metals, jewelry and consumer retail.
