ART Technologies, a Valencia-based startup specializing in hyperspectral imaging solutions for advanced quality inspection in the food industry, has successfully closed a €200,000 funding round with the participation of REDIT Ventures and its Investment Club.
The new capital will enable the company to accelerate its growth roadmap, strengthen its industrial and commercial capabilities, and advance the manufacturing and large-scale deployment of its proprietary technology. This latest investment follows the €315,000 previously provided by AINIA and REDIT Ventures, both of which have been strategic partners since the company's earliest stages.
Founded as a spin-off of AINIA, ART Technologies has developed proprietary hyperspectral imaging technology capable of delivering automated, in-depth, and highly accurate inspection of bulk food products. Its solution enables real-time identification of both internal and external product characteristics, including the detection of foreign bodies and defects, enhancing quality control processes while improving production line efficiency.
With this funding round, the company enters a key phase focused on the industrialization and scalability of its technology, with the objective of accelerating commercial deployment across multiple markets and establishing itself as a leading quality inspection solution for major players throughout the food value chain.
"This transaction represents a decisive milestone for ART Technologies at a pivotal stage of our growth. The investment validates the potential of our technology and provides the resources needed to accelerate our commercial expansion while strengthening our position as a leading provider of advanced quality control solutions for the food industry," said Óscar Casabuena, CEO and COO of ART Technologies.
Javier Ferrándiz, the company's CEO and CSO, added: "This funding will allow us to accelerate the industrialization of our hyperspectral imaging technology while strengthening our manufacturing and deployment capabilities in industrial environments. Our goal is to continue developing an increasingly robust, scalable solution tailored to the evolving needs of the food industry, enabling more accurate, automated and efficient inspection processes."
Beyond providing capital, REDIT Ventures and its Investment Club—comprising entrepreneurs and senior executives closely linked to the Technological Institutes of the Valencian Community—will support ART Technologies through strategic guidance and access to a high-value industrial and business network designed to accelerate the company's growth.
The transaction also reinforces ART Technologies' position within the Valencian innovation ecosystem, strengthening its credibility among potential customers, industrial partners and future investors at a critical stage of its expansion.
More broadly, investments by Valencian companies in technology ventures such as ART Technologies contribute to the creation of new industrial capacity in the region, fostering innovation, competitiveness and the generation of highly skilled employment.
