CaixaBank Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) has reinforced its commitment to supporting Spain's energy transition by providing project finance for the development of a 50 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant promoted by IGNIS in the province of Palencia.
Located in the municipalities of Paredes de Nava and Becerril de Campos, the project will finance the construction, commissioning and operation of the solar PV facility, contributing to the expansion of renewable energy generation and supporting the country's transition towards a more sustainable and decarbonized energy system.
The transaction has been classified as a green financing, in line with CaixaBank CIB's sustainable finance framework and the bank's commitment to supporting investments that accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.
In this transaction, CaixaBank CIB acted as Mandated Lead Arranger (MLA), Bookrunner, Green Loan Coordinator, Issuing Bank, and lender, delivering a tailored financing solution designed to meet the specific requirements of the project.
