Meridia Capital has raised €300 million for Meridia V, its real estate vehicle launched in 2023, with which it has already completed four transactions.

Meridia already acquired the Hotel Gallery in Barcelona and the Molina Lario in Malaga from the Gallery group in 2023 through the vehicle. Last year it acquired the Hotel Presidente in Ibiza and a 207,000 square metre logistics project in Aldaia (Valencia). In January, it announced a co-investment with the Barcelona management company Med Capital to buy land from Endesa in Palma de Mallorca and build 540 homes. The total amount of the project, between acquisition and construction, is 240 million euros.

Meridia V follows the trend of its latest vehicles, with a large majority of institutional investors (90%), including insurance companies, pension funds, funds of funds and a sovereign wealth fund. The remaining 10% corresponds to capital invested by a family office.

Meridia specialises in the investment, development and repositioning of assets in the Spanish market. The Barcelona-based asset manager's fifth vehicle is focused on acquiring properties in the logistics, hotel and residential segments. In fact, all the operations closed to date correspond to these markets.

The firm has more than 1,000 million in assets under management. Its main focus is real estate, but historically it has also invested in companies such as Volotea and the restaurant chain and hotel operator Andilana.
