Lookiero Outfittery Group, the company formed in early 2025 from the merger of Spain’s Lookiero and Germany’s Outfittery, has closed a €17 million funding round aimed at accelerating growth, consolidating its logistics infrastructure, and strengthening its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

The round included investors such as Ekarpen Private Equity and the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT), alongside Acurio Ventures, Perwyn, Bonsai Partners, and 10x Group. Of the total investment, €7.25 million was contributed by SETT, an entity under the Spanish Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service.

“SETT’s support highlights Lookiero Outfittery Group’s innovative potential and its relevance within the Spanish digital and technology ecosystem,” the company said.

The funding will enable the group to advance in AI-based personalization, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization, enhancing the customer experience across its twelve European markets.

“This milestone marks a new chapter for Lookiero Outfittery Group. Our technological and logistical integration allows us to operate more efficiently and provide a better experience to our customers across Europe,” said Oier Urrutia, CEO of the group and founder of Lookiero.

The conglomerate achieved positive EBITDA in 2025, a year marked by the integration with Outfittery, and completed the merger of its two brands onto a single technological and logistical platform. Additionally, it inaugurated a new operational center in Miranda de Ebro (Burgos) spanning 15,000 m², raising the group’s total logistics space to nearly 25,000 m² and strengthening its European network.

Public-private collaboration and government support

The Minister for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, Óscar López, announced a €7.2 million government injection via SETT and the Next Tech facility, funded by the EU Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (Next Generation EU funds), aimed at strengthening technological transition in the retail and textile sector through AI applications in fashion.

“Spain is in fashion, and Lookiero exemplifies our industrial revival by combining a traditional sector like textiles with cutting-edge digital technologies, generating new business opportunities and creating jobs. Municipalities like Miranda de Ebro can and should compete on quality in an increasingly interconnected world,” the minister said during his visit to the new logistics center.

Job creation and logistics expansion

The merger will maintain the local identity and talent of both companies and is expected to create 455 direct jobs, most of high qualification, and 1,275 indirect jobs. The launch of the Miranda de Ebro center has generated over 200 direct jobs and is capable of managing more than one million garments, complementing Lookiero’s historic center in Santurtzi (Vizcaya).

AI-driven innovation and personalization

Lookiero Outfittery Group will dedicate the funding to optimizing personalization algorithms and developing AI-driven styling functionalities, improving operational efficiency, profitability, and service personalization. The company stands out for its large volumes of data used to train its models, the accuracy of its recommendations, and its strong customer base, positioning it as a reference in the digital fashion retail sector in Europe, with France and Germany as the main markets, followed by Spain, Italy, and the UK.

SETT’s participation forms part of its public-private collaboration strategy and is included in its Next Tech facility, complementing other financial instruments such as PERTE Chip, focused on microelectronics and semiconductors, and Spain Audiovisual Hub, dedicated to the digitalization of the audiovisual sector.

With this new funding, Lookiero Outfittery Group consolidates its European leadership in online personal shopping services and strengthens its commitment to the technological transformation of the retail sector, combining fashion, innovation, and advanced technology
