King & Wood Mallesons ("KWM") has advised the energy company Mithrasol on the financing process for the construction of 11 solar PV plants in Spain, with a total installed capacity of 41.8 MW. The project, located in Castilla La Macha and Andalusia, foresees investment costs of more than 35 million euros.
The financing obtained has been granted by Ben Oldman and the European Investment Bank ("EIB") through the investment vehicle Ben Oldman Unitranche Bridge Fund. The operation will be executed through a single loan, with a financing capacity of up to 80% of the investment costs.
The KWM team that has advised on this operation has been formed by the energy partner Gonzalo Olivera, the senior associates Félix Hernández (Finance) and Alberto Artés (Energy) and the associate Jose Berjón (Finance).
Mithrasol, a company founded in 2020, is specialized in the promotion, construction, and operation of solar plants in the Iberian market. The company currently has 12 projects underway with an installed capacity of approximately 50 MW.
