Grupo Aspasia has completed the acquisition of the Balearic company Ideas Consultora de Formación S.L., specialized in training for private security, in a transaction aligned with its strategy of inorganic growth and diversification into regulated verticals with high employment demand.
The transaction incorporates the Ideas Seguridad Privada brand into the group’s scope—an academy with over a decade of experience, a broad catalog of official and specialized courses, and an employment placement rate of nearly 99%.
Far from being a defensive integration, the operation responds to an expansion plan that Ideas had already defined. From its inception, the company relied on a scalable model supported by accredited online training, aiming to achieve national coverage and gradually expand its offerings and operational capacity.
“The acquisition allows us to accelerate a roadmap that Ideas already had underway,” the group explains. The combination of the consultancy’s technical specialization with Aspasia’s technological platform, commercial network, and deployment capabilities seeks to generate immediate synergies in course offerings, specialties, and access to key accounts.
According to Juan Salcedo, Chief Business Officer of Grupo Aspasia, “private security is a vertical intensive in regulatory compliance and with a clear professional pathway. Incorporating Ideas allows us to scale this line quickly and reliably.”
For his part, Juan Patricio Ybarra, CEO and co-founder of Ideas Consultora de Formación along with his sister Inés, highlights the natural fit of the transaction: “From the start, our vision was to reach all of Spain with a specialized, employment-oriented model. Integrating into Aspasia gives us greater scale and visibility to accelerate that growth, without losing our identity or our closeness to students and companies.”
In the short term, the group will prioritize academic and technological integration, an increase in courses and specialties, and the development of corporate training solutions, thereby strengthening a vertical the group considers high value-added with sustained growth potential.
