A proprietary methodology to identify potential from the start
To identify New Ventures, Elewit relies on a proprietary methodology that allows it to detect, assess, and scale initiatives with potential from their earliest phases. Using tools such as the Lean Canvas and a set of indicators tailored to each initiative’s maturity level, the company evaluates technical feasibility, degree of innovation, alignment with the Group, and market potential.
This evolving analysis helps identify each initiative’s sweet spot, balancing technological and commercial factors to ensure real impact — either as a new business or as a solution integrated into Redeia’s services.
Flexibility to scale results
One of the key differentiators of Elewit’s New Ventures is their flexibility in scaling results and adapting to different forms of collaboration. New Ventures can generate value through the creation of new companies, the licensing or transfer of intellectual property, equity participation in external ventures, or the direct commercialization of services and technologies to third parties.
In this way, Elewit aims to create shared value: on the one hand, addressing Redeia’s internal needs by optimizing processes and services; on the other, opening up new business opportunities with market potential of their own.
SafeDelimit: the first New Venture to reach the market
An example of this model’s potential is SafeDelimit, a startup born from Elewit’s DESPEGA intrapreneurship program. The company offers an innovative solution for the safe delimitation of work areas in industrial environments, enhancing operational safety and reducing risks.
SafeDelimit embodies the complete journey that Elewit envisions for its New Ventures — from identifying a need in the operational environment, through technological development, to the creation of a new company that now operates independently in the market.
Arin Technologies: advancing the digitalization of the electricity sector
Created in collaboration with Arteche, Arin Technologies represents another milestone in Elewit’s New Ventures line.
The new company — owned 54% by Arteche and 46% by Elewit — will develop and market software solutions focused on the automation of electrical substations and the management of critical assets, leveraging technologies such as Edge Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT, among others.
This partnership marks the second major initiative within the New Ventures line and strengthens Elewit’s commitment to driving projects that contribute to digitalization and the energy transition in the electricity sector, while consolidating its open innovation ecosystem, which already includes more than 130 partners.
