Consultia Business Travel, the Spanish company specialising in the integrated management of business travel, has just announced the closing of a €1.2 million financing round. The capital injection has been led by SpeedOut, a professional services firm specialising in Corporate Finance and comprehensive advice to companies (both startups and SMEs) during all stages of development.

Consultia Business Travel was founded in 2010 by Juan Manuel Baixauli with the aim of facilitating comprehensive management and advising companies on their business trips, offering differentiating solutions based on technology and personal advice. It currently operates in Spain and Portugal. The Valencian startup has integrated in Destinux nearly 3 million hotels, more than 600 airlines, 27 car rental companies around the world and private transfers in more than 160 countries, RENFE and taxis and VTC in more than 90 states, achieving online connectivity and efficiency that stand out in the business travel market.

Savings and efficiency in corporate travel management

Recently, Consultia Business Travel launched Destinux, the ERP in the cloud that digitalises corporate travel management and is revolutionising the Business Travel sector by making it possible to comprehensively, efficiently and profitably manage the business travel of any corporation, with all the personalised attention and human touch of a specialised manager.

“This new technological solution represents a radical change in the business model of the corporate travel sector, which means a “before and after” by offering a comprehensive management software that eliminates management fees and integrates with multiple ERPs. Thus, with this SaaS (software as a service) system, the client pays for using the software and avoids having to pay commissions for bookings, achieving savings of up to 20% in the first year”, says Carlos Martínez, CEO of Consultia Business Travel.

This recent launch has allowed Consultia Business Travel to become the first company to put the business travel industry just one click away from SMEs and large corporations, responding to the current needs of this market.

Destinux’s advanced technology and management system together with the Personal Travel Assistant service are enabling companies to digitise management, reduce costs, and make business travel more efficient.

In the words of Juan Manuel Baixauli, founder and current COO of the company, “from the beginning the company has always been committed to innovation as a basis for improving both our own business and making life easier for our customers. Thanks to this round we will be able to consolidate our position in the Spanish and Portuguese market and bring Destinux closer to SMEs and companies that want to be more efficient and therefore more competitive in their business”.

For his part, Rafael Aguado, director of the professional services firm SpeedOut Advisory, points out that “Consultia, through its SaaS Destinux, proposes a disruptive technological solution that allows companies of any size to digitalise an area that today is not, thus achieving significant efficiencies for its clients and positioning itself as a very attractive project for investors in technology”.
