In 2025, Alantra Private Equity continued to embed sustainability across its investment activity and portfolio, reinforcing responsible investment practices, active stewardship and measurable portfolio progress.
Key 2025 highlights include:
- 5% reduction in GHG emissions and a 3% decrease in emissions intensity
- 8% increase in employment, reaching 7,100 employees across the portfolio
- €155mn of Gross Added Value generated by portfolio companies, up 7% year-on-year
- Further enhancements to the investment process, including the development of a Return on Sustainable Investment Tool and progress towards a more advanced ESG Due Diligence Framework
2025 has been a year of continued progress in Alantra Private Equity’s sustainability journey. Alantra Private Equity continues to view sustainability as a driver of long-term value creation and, business resilience and competitive advantage.
This year’s report outlines the progress made across PEF III, PESF II, PEF IV and the Healthcare Continuation Fund, highlighting how we work with portfolio companies to embed sustainability into their strategies, operations and decision-making.
During the year, we further strengthened our sustainability approach through the development of an internal Return on Sustainable Investment Tool and an Advanced ESG Due Diligence Framework. We also continued to work closely with portfolio companies to define sustainability roadmaps, enhance reporting practices and advance key initiatives across environmental, social and governance topics.
Across the portfolio, these efforts contributed to measurable progress, including a 5% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, an 11% decrease in water consumption and non-recycled waste, continued growth in high quality employment, reaching 7,100 employees, and improvements in workforce development and safety.
Our portfolio companies continue to translate sustainability ambitions into tangible results, from advancing carbon footprint measurement and circular economy initiatives to strengthening governance and reporting frameworks.
