AINIA and REDIT Ventures, a specialized investment vehicle promoted by the eleven technological institutes of REDIT (Network of Technological Institutes of the Valencian Community), have created a new tech-based company, ART Technologies (Ar Testing Technologies).
The new company will industrialize and commercialize hyperspectral vision-based industrial inspection solutions, delivering advanced quality control for large-scale production processes.
Designed to detect what the human eye cannot see, ART Technologies’ solution enables the identification of foreign bodies in bulk agri-food products, ensuring safety, efficiency, and traceability in quality control processes within the food industry.
Cristina Del Campo, CEO of AINIA, stated: “With ART Technologies, we are taking another step forward in our commitment to bringing to market technologies developed at AINIA with high industrial impact potential. Hyperspectral vision opens up new possibilities to improve quality control and safety in the food industry, especially in processes where traditional inspection methods face limitations. Our collaboration with REDIT Ventures allows us to accelerate the deployment of this technology into the business ecosystem through the creation of a specialized company that will drive its industrialization and adoption across the sector.”
Gonzalo Belenguer, Board Member at REDIT Ventures, added: “ART Technologies is yet another example of the significant impact of the Network of Technological Institutes in the Valencian Community. It contributes to the creation of a new technology-based industrial fabric stemming from the network’s most disruptive R&D, while also offering co-investment opportunities—syndicated through the Investment Club—to the more than 6,000 companies associated with the institutes. Ultimately, this is a new milestone that reinforces REDIT Ventures’ objective of creating new companies in the region, with strong transformative capacity and high growth potential. This is the ninth company that will contribute to the creation of specialized employment in the territory.”
