Those Beyond, the London based tech company powering the next generation of fandom and community experiences, has announced raising a further £1.2m in their Seed+ round. New investors, Acurio Ventures and Common Magic have joined the round along with participation from existing investors Playfair Capital, Cherry Ventures, Seedcamp and Cassius.
The latest investment round comes off the back of Those Beyond’s recent ARISE Engine global deployments powering Mass Community Play across 1.9 million unique players for blockbuster IPs of The Walking Dead, Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning and Amazon Original Invincible. Post this success, a further three global franchises are deploying the ARISE Engine in Q4 this year across each category of film, TV and gaming
Coinciding with this new investment, Those Beyond have appointed former Disney and Activision-Blizzard marketing executive, Will Kassoy, as Chair of Those Beyond.
