SICC Innvierte, managed by CDTI Innovación, invests in Buenavista Buyout Innvierte III España, a fund focused on Spanish companies with high growth and internationalisation potential
Buenavista Buyout SGEIC, S.A. (“Buenavista”), focused on the low/mid-market segment, primarily targeting key sectors such as healthcare, industrials, services and food, where there is significant scope to implement operational improvements, particularly in relation to digitalisation, transformation and technological optimisation of portfolio companies. The investment vehicle seeks to acquire majority stakes in Spanish companies with strong growth and international expansion potential, as well as the ability to lead consolidation within their respective sectors through a buy-and-build strategy.
With a target size of €250 million, the fund aims to complete between eight and ten platform investments, while retaining capacity to execute add-on acquisitions. The expected average investment size ranges between €25 million and €30 million, enabling portfolio companies to scale and become more sophisticated through the professionalisation of management teams, process digitalisation, the implementation of AI solutions and the development of innovation capabilities. The objective is to maximise value creation and optimise exit outcomes in highly competitive divestment processes.

CDTI Innovación, through its Innvierte programme, has committed up to €75 million to the fund. This public-private partnership supports the growth and internationalisation of Spanish companies that accelerate their development through digital technologies and innovation.

Innvierte
Innvierte is an initiative aimed at promoting business innovation through support for venture capital investment in technology-based and innovative companies. The programme is implemented through Innvierte Economía Sostenible SICC S.M.E., S.A., a self-managed closed-ended investment company supervised by the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), of which CDTI Innovación is the sole shareholder.
To date, CDTI Innovación, through Innvierte, has committed €3.48 billion to 61 investment vehicles and, through its co-investment programme, has directly committed €866.1 million to 197 companies.
Innvierte forms part of the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy 2021–2027, approved by the Council of Ministers in September 2020. The strategy sets out the objectives, reforms and measures to be implemented across the R&D&I ecosystem in order to foster growth and increase impact, and serves as one of the key pillars underpinning the Spanish Government’s innovation policy for the coming years.
