Indexa Capital, Spain's leading independent portfolio manager, today launches its second fund of funds, Indexa RV international FI (ISIN ES0148019005), which invests almost the entire fund (minus a small cash percentage of around 1.5%) in a portfolio of equity ETFs with global coverage. Its portfolio is similar to the equity portion of its first fund of funds Indexa RV mixta internacional 75 launched 6 years ago, which has proven to be one of the most profitable in its category (Renta Variable Mixta Internacional de Inverco, the association of investment fund and pension plan managers in Spain), with sustained growth in volume, growing more than 30% by 2024, according to data provided by the company itself.

‘The first fund of funds launched by Indexa Capital in 2019 adds 970 unitholders and 17 million euros under management at the end of April, allowing us to take the next step in our strategy of offering funds of funds with global diversification and low costs.’ Carlota Corral, Chief Investment Officer of Indexa Capital, points out.

New Indexa RV Internacional FI fund

The current portfolio is composed of 9 global equity ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds), with exposure to the US, Europe, emerging markets, Japan and the Pacific excluding Japan.

‘The biggest advantage of our global equity fund of funds compared to a fund indexed on a global index, such as the MSCI All Countries, is that the strategic allocation takes into account the taxation of the European investor when defining the weights of the different regions, reducing a little the weight in the United States to mitigate the effect of double taxation on dividends from US stocks,’ says Carlota Corral.

Estimated total costs initially stand at 0.685%, with a reduction to 0.535% from the third year onwards, in line with the fund's expected growth. This reduction is supported by a transparent cost structure and economies of scale. Indexa's shareholders have a commitment to invest more than EUR 1 million in the new fund, with the aim of reaching the necessary size to reduce costs and be aligned with the fund's unitholders.

‘In the long term, we expect this fund to be among the best performers in its category, probably in the top 10% for 5-year returns, in the top 5% for 10-year returns and in the top 1% for returns over 20 years,’ adds Carlota Corral.

The fund has a minimum investment of €10 and is available from Renta 4 Banco and other marketers operating through the Inversis platform. It is particularly aimed at investors with less than €2,000, non-residents in countries where Indexa offers accounts, legal entities, or those seeking a 100% equity investment without discretionary portfolio management.
