The European fund Impact Partners has acquired a minority stake in Grupo Aire Limpio, a Spanish company specializing in environmental wellbeing and sustainability in built environments. Advised by Abante, this capital increase represents an injection of €8 million, providing the Group with the necessary resources to accelerate its business growth plan over the next five years.

“Impact Partners has fully trusted our strategic plan since the very beginning of the deal, and throughout the process they have consistently emphasized the importance of respecting the autonomy of our project,” explains Tomás Higuero, co-founder and CEO of Grupo Aire Limpio.

As such, the executive partners of the Group will retain the majority stake and continue to lead management across the various business areas in which they operate. Impact Partners’ objective is to support Grupo Aire Limpio in consolidating its position as a leader in services for healthy and sustainable buildings.

With 26 years of history, Grupo Aire Limpio has experienced strong growth since the start of this decade, doubling its revenues to reach €17.2 million in 2024, with EBITDA of €2.3 million. With over 140 employees, the Group serves more than a thousand clients across 8 countries, with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, and Santiago de Compostela.

“We saw major business opportunities emerging from the profound transformation the real estate sector is undergoing, particularly in the demanding areas of decarbonization, health and wellbeing, and the fight against building obsolescence,” says Tomás Higuero. “And since our goal is to be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of various asset types—hospitals, schools, offices, hotels, data centers, residential, leisure, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical industry, logistics, etc.—scaling up was essential, both organically and inorganically.”

In this context, the executive shareholders of Grupo Aire Limpio evaluated different partners for this next stage of growth until they found the perfect match in Impact Partners. This European investment fund focuses on companies that contribute to a fair transition toward a decarbonized economy, with special attention to balancing social and economic factors—a philosophy closely aligned with Grupo Aire Limpio’s business purpose.

“We see in Aire Limpio a company with a unique positioning in the Spanish market, offering solutions that respond to the new market demands and boasting strong potential for growth and consolidation,” says Mathieu Cornieti, CEO of Impact Partners. “More than 50% of the beneficiaries of the company’s solutions are hospital patients and schoolchildren, which speaks volumes about the Group’s social impact,” adds Nicolas Touboulic, Managing Partner of Impact Partners Iberica.

Environmental Wellbeing and Sustainability in Built Environments

Today, the Group operates a highly specialized brand structure—Aura, Aire Limpio, Ambisalud, Commtech, and ACSOS—allowing it to cover key areas related to building decarbonization and control, environmental wellbeing of properties, commissioning, optimal performance of systems, audits, validations, and analytics of indoor air and water quality, as well as verification and measurement services for certifications such as WELL, LEED, BREEAM, or DGNB.

Their solutions help buildings and their systems become healthier and more environmentally friendly, while also boosting asset performance to minimize both carbon footprint and operating costs.
