GRS reaffirms its commitment to the Iberian market with the signing of a new project in Spain. The EPC construction division of Grupo Gransolar, which recently celebrated 20 years of activity in the sector, has reached an agreement with Millennium Green Investment Group to build the Dintel Solar photovoltaic plant (50 MWp), located in the town of Wamba (Valladolid).
This is the second project that the company currently has under construction in Castilla y León, a region with significant potential for photovoltaic energy, adding 275 MWp to its portfolio in the coming months. With this new milestone, GRS will exceed 900 MWp across nearly 50 projects built or under construction in Spain.
To make the project a reality, GRS will work in coordination with the other companies within Grupo Gransolar to leverage synergies and ensure compliance with quality, management, and planning standards.
During the construction of the photovoltaic plant, the substation, and the evacuation line, GRS Engineering will handle all engineering tasks, while the Construction and PV Hardware (PVH) teams will supply AxoneDuo Infinity solar trackers to maximize plant performance. Finally, GRS O&M will take on the operation and maintenance of the plant once completed.
This marks the first collaboration between GRS and Millennium GIG, a client with whom GRS aims to build a long-term, trusted relationship.
Ricardo Arias, CEO of Millennium GIG, highlighted the importance of promoting solid renewable projects alongside strategic partners with extensive experience and technical reliability. He emphasized that GRS “combines an outstanding international track record with rigorous planning and control protocols, as well as a high level of integration in the photovoltaic sector, providing developers with confidence in the design, management, and full execution of the construction cycle.”
Christian Moeckel, Global Sales Director of GRS, expressed satisfaction with the award of this project and the company’s maturity in the photovoltaic sector: “It is very rewarding to continue finding new collaborators like Millennium GIG, committed to renewable energy penetration in the market, while strengthening our relationships with long-standing clients. We approach the Dintel project with the enthusiasm of day one, confident that we will meet the client’s expectations.”
With this project, GRS reaffirms its commitment to photovoltaic energy and storage in the Iberian market, where it currently has significant projects under construction, while continuing its growth in other key markets such as Australia and South Africa and exploring new business opportunities.
