The Innovation and Development Foundation (FIDBAN) held its 26th Investors Round in Santander, consolidating the growth of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cantabria and reaffirming its position as a strategic hub for investment and innovation.

The event, held at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), highlighted the expansion of Cantabria’s business ecosystem. Of the more than 100 projects supported by FIDBAN since its creation, nearly half have already become active companies.

During the opening session, FIDBAN’s director, Diego Lainz, emphasized Cantabria’s role as an emerging hub for entrepreneurship, mentioning key initiatives such as the “Origen 0” community, which connects entrepreneurs across the region, and the “Startin Cantabria” platform, promoted by SODERCAN to attract talent and capital. The foundation’s international outlook was also underscored, with new investor rounds planned in countries such as Argentina, Paraguay, and Bolivia, further strengthening its global network.

At the beginning of the event, one of the highlights was an interview with Rosario Ortiz, founder of Adalab, who shared her professional journey and her decision to relocate her activity to Cantabria. Ortiz emphasized the impact of her educational project, which has trained more than 1,300 women in the technology sector, achieving employment placement rates of up to 90%. During her speech, she advocated for social entrepreneurship as a driver of change, stressing that economic profitability is compatible with generating positive impact.

The round also featured presentations from two technology startups that attracted strong investor interest:

First, Alberto López de la Torre, founder and CEO of Manfacter, presented a platform for on-demand industrial manufacturing that digitizes traditional processes, reducing quotation times from weeks to just five minutes. The company, which is experiencing 17% monthly growth, is seeking an investment of €325,000 to expand its operations.

Next, César de la Torre, co-founder and CTO of Panssari, introduced a security solution for critical infrastructure based on artificial intelligence and antenna technology, capable of detecting intruders without the need for cameras. The company, already operating at the Port of Santander and in Endesa facilities, aims to raise €560,000 to scale production, expand its commercial network, and advance international projects.

The event concluded with a networking session where entrepreneurs, investors, and institutional representatives exchanged ideas and explored new collaboration opportunities.

With this 26th edition, FIDBAN reinforces its commitment to fostering innovative entrepreneurship, consolidating Cantabria as an increasingly dynamic and attractive environment for the development of business projects with international potential.
