DC Advisory, an international investment bank committed to making a difference, announces the hire of Ana Segurado as Managing Director in its Madrid office. Ana will focus on the technology sector as the firm continues its investment into the global Technology & Software market and its growing team in Spain, comprising 22 bankers led by seven Managing Directors.
Ana brings over 20 years’ experience partnering with tech businesses, private equity, and venture capital, leading more than 50 investments and 15 exits. Previously named one of the 25 most influential people in Technology in Spain, Ana joins from Alantra, where she led the Venture Capital advisory unit, covering M&A, secondaries and fundraising activities to startups and VC Funds as well as advisory services to corporates in their corporate VC activity. Prior to this, Ana led multiple investment vehicles at Telefonica Group as Managing Director, following 10 years as Investment Director at Inversiones Ibersuizas (now private equity firm Portobello Capital).
Ana joins DC Advisory’s global Technology & Software team, comprising 40 senior bankers based in Europe, the US, and Asia. Over the past 12 months, the team has completed 24 transactions, including Exponent Private Equity on its acquisition of Hippo Digital, led by UK Managing Director Alexander Luycx; 360 Advanced on a minority investment from Bregal Sagemount, led by US Managing Director Eric Wagner; Elematec on the sale of its remaining shares to Toyota Tsusho, led by Japan Managing Director Daiyu Sato, and Wingify on its sale of a majority stake to Everstone Capital, led by Managing Directors Nitin Bhatia and Nishant Malhotra in India.
