The supermarket chain Condis has completed the acquisition of the assets of the Menorcan distribution company Dispreu Logística, owner of the Binipreu supermarkets, after obtaining approval from the Spanish National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC) and formalizing the definitive purchase agreement. The transaction was advised by CS Corporate Advisors.

The acquisition, which marks Condis' entry into the Balearic market, dates back to last April. As reported by the media, the transaction, advised by CS Corporate Advisors, includes the eight Binipreu supermarkets, all located in Menorca, three logistics platforms on the same island, and the Binipreu Menorca shopping center in Maó. Condis will also assume the supply of approximately twenty franchised stores operating under different brands.

"This operation reflects a growth strategy based on proximity, respect for local brands, and a desire to combine capabilities for the benefit of customers, teams, and suppliers in the region," stated Manel Romero, CEO of Condis.

Owned by the private equity fund Portobello and its management team, the chain has a total of 740 stores, both company-owned and franchised, more than 240 of which are located in the city of Barcelona.

In 2024 - the last year for which figures are available - Condis, headquartered in Montcada i Reixac (Vallès Occidental), achieved a turnover of €807 million and recorded a net profit of €21.7 million. Dispreu Logística, for its part, earned €47 million in the same year and a profit of €198,052 after taxes.

CS Corporate Advisors is an independent advisory firm that has been providing corporate finance services to companies over the last 35 years at a national and international level.
