The Governing Council of the Junta de Castilla y León has approved a €2.6 million grant to the venture capital company ADE Capital Sodical to finance, through venture capital instruments, equity investments and participative loans in viable business projects that contribute to promoting their international expansion. The initiative aims to provide the necessary liquidity to cover export-related costs during the 2025–2028 period. The program is expected to support projects that will generate €7.8 million in private investment and create 525 associated jobs.
This fund targets companies and entrepreneurs making investments in workplaces or requiring working capital within the region. Eligible projects will be related to promoting exports, export credit insurance expenses, the working capital needed to increase exports and cover tariff costs, foreign trade credit lines, and any other actions aimed at facilitating the international presence of companies. One or several of these actions may be financed for the same company.
ADE Capital Sodical offers participative loans ranging from €50,000 to €3 million, with a maximum term of 10 years and a grace period of 3 years. In cases where a participative loan is converted into equity, the capitalized amount will range between €90,000 and €3 million, with a maximum term of 10 years, and may not exceed 49% of the shareholding.
The internationalization of companies in Castilla y León is a key tool to enhance the competitiveness of the regional economy, ensure its stability, and foster the growth of its productive fabric and employment by expanding products and services into international markets. Strengthening internationalization is essential in the face of growing uncertainty due to protectionist measures in global markets and the economic slowdown in European countries.
