A&G Global Investors has appointed Clara Villanueva as Director of Investments in Sustainable Infrastructure, within its Alternative Investments department.
Villanueva will participate in identifying and developing potential investment opportunities, being responsible for the entire process—including sourcing, analysis, deal execution, negotiations, and due diligence—as well as optimizing and implementing business plans and managing divestment processes for projects and companies held by the investment vehicles.
With over 12 years of experience, Villanueva joins A&G Global Investors from Aquila Capital, where she spent the past three years as part of the investment team focused on sourcing strategic partners and rotating assets in renewable projects across Europe.
Throughout her career, Villanueva has also advised on M&A transactions, mainly in the energy and infrastructure sectors, working at KPMG and CaixaBank. She holds a degree in Business Administration from ICADE, Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, and a Master’s in Financial Markets from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles.
Villanueva’s appointment follows the launch of several investment vehicles within the Alternatives area, such as A&G Sustainable Infrastructure II, FCR, and co-investment vehicles, whose strategy focuses on projects developing and operating in electrification, renewable gases, circularity, and decarbonized energy infrastructure.
She now joins the team led by Miguel Lizaso, Head of Investments in Energy Transition Infrastructure, who has been leading this vertical for five years.
Alejandro Nuñez, Head of Alternative Investments at A&G Global Investors, said: “Clara’s appointment and extensive experience will allow us to strengthen the Alternative Investments department, particularly in sustainable infrastructure, consolidating our position as a reference in the sector.”
