The SPRI Group launches the Ekintzaile+ grants to support the development and launch of new innovative and technological business projects.

From June 27 to July 29, applications will be open for grants of up to €100,000 per company to cover the expenses required to implement the Business Plan.

SPRI has been promoting entrepreneurship for years. The aim is to provide new business initiatives with comprehensive, flexible, and tailored support, enabling them to launch, grow, and successfully establish themselves in the market.

Ekintzaile+ supports entrepreneurial initiatives by financing the expenses required to develop innovative business projects and accelerate their growth, right at the crucial moment when a new business is being launched. This way, they can continue with their Business Plan and gain access to both initial and especially long-term financing that such projects require.

The boost your business needs to grow

Starting a company is not an easy decision. If you’ve had the guidance and support of a BIC (Business and Innovation Center) during the process, you’ve likely made the right decisions.

At this early stage, growth may be limited by several factors.

Lack of financing is usually one of them, as small businesses often struggle to access loans or external funding.

Human resources are also limited. Usually, the founding team handles nearly all responsibilities. Hiring additional staff can be costly and time-consuming, which often makes it unfeasible unless the right financial resources are available.

Similarly, infrastructure limitations can hinder growth. A lack of suitable facilities, equipment, or technology can slow down the company's expansion.

But Ekintzaile+ is here to help your new business project grow faster and overcome all these obstacles. Ekintzaile+ provides the funding you need to cover the expenses of developing your new project, including:

  • Personnel expenses to hire new talent. Up to €70,000 to hire a maximum of 2 people in roles with high levels of autonomy, initiative, and responsibility, who complement the founding team’s capabilities.
  • External collaboration and technical consultancy specifically linked to the development of the project.
  • Expenses for new rental properties that enable the development and growth of the business project.
  • Expenses related to patent applications and maintenance, as well as other intellectual property rights, certifications, registrations, and approvals.
  • Promotional and dissemination expenses associated with marketing and publicizing the business project.

Is my project eligible for Ekintzaile+ funding?

There are two types of projects eligible for Ekintzaile+ support:

  • New innovative and/or technology-based business projects, industrial and/or related service projects linked to products or processes: projects that, through the development or application of advanced technologies, create more efficient, competitive, or disruptive products or processes in the market.
  • New knowledge-intensive business projects: those that apply their own expertise and technologies to generate new products, services, and processes, or to develop new business models.

Regarding the companies that can apply for these grants to support their business projects:

  • They must have an operational base in the Basque Country.
  • They must have a Business Plan developed under the guidance or with the approval of a BIC.
  • They must be newly established (registered since January 1, 2022, or since January 1, 2020, for biotech companies).
  • They must plan to generate at least 3 jobs within 3 years.
  • They must have fewer than 50 employees.

If you meet all these requirements, start preparing your application with detailed information about your project and take advantage of this opportunity. We offer up to €100,000 in non-repayable funding to boost your project.

Apply for the Ekintzaile+ grant before July 29!
