Suma Capital, an independent asset manager specializing in sustainable investment, has registered the SC Sustainable Expansion Fund III Plus, FCRE with the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). This is a European venture capital fund (EuVECA) aimed at driving the growth of expanding companies with a positive impact.
The fund has been registered in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 345/2013 (EuVECA) and Law 22/2014 on venture capital entities, and has a maximum commitment limit of up to €200 million, considering both the fund and its co-investment vehicle within the SCSEF III complex.
SC Sustainable Expansion Fund III Plus, FCRE will primarily invest in profitable scale-ups through equity and quasi-equity instruments, supporting long-term growth plans. The fund’s geographical focus is mainly on Spain, although it also contemplates investments in other European Union countries and neighboring regions.
The fund plans to build a diversified portfolio of 8 to 12 companies, with target investments ranging from €10 million to €30 million per company, prioritizing businesses with solid business models and scalable potential.

The fund is managed by SUMA CAPITAL S.G.E.I.C., S.A., an entity registered with the CNMV under number 57. BNP Paribas, S.A., Spain Branch, acts as the custodian and administrative service provider, and Ernst & Young, S.L. serves as the auditor.
Additionally, the fund promotes environmental and social characteristics in accordance with Article 8 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 (SFDR), integrating ESG criteria across the entire investment and management process.
