Paris hosted last weekend a high-level meeting between representatives of the Department of Industry, Ecological Transition and Digital Business of the Government of Navarre and the public company Sodena, and China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), one of the most relevant international groups in the field of industrial construction.

The meeting took place in a spirit of maximum cooperation and concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Regional Minister for Industry and Ecological Transition and Digital Business, Mikel Irujo, and the CEO of the Asian company, Luo Jianpeng.

The objective of this document is to promote collaboration between China State Construction Engineering Corp., specifically through its subsidiary China Mediterranean Holding (CMH), and Sodena in the fields of infrastructure development, sustainable construction, investment promotion and other areas mutually agreed upon. Areas of cooperation include the exploration of potential investment and co-development opportunities in Navarre and internationally, as well as support for business and institutional connections between companies and entities from both sides.

The meeting was described as highly productive and lays the foundations for stable cooperation aimed at developing high value-added industrial projects. “The agreement opens the door to new opportunities for investment, knowledge exchange and technological cooperation in the field of advanced industry,” said Minister Irujo, who is also Chairman of Sodena. He was accompanied by Guillermo Alonso, Head of Investment Attraction at Sodena (Invest Navarra), and Iñigo Arruti, Director General for Business Development and Infrastructure of the Navarrese Government. On the Chinese delegation side, in addition to Luo Jianpeng, the meeting was attended by Lyu Taizhong, General Manager of Horizon Build Company, also a subsidiary of CSCEC, Kaidi Yan, Director of Administration, and Ina Wang, from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in the construction sector.

China Mediterranean Holding (CMH) SAS is a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation based in France and dedicated to the promotion, management and development of industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects, with activity in engineering, construction and the coordination of large-scale projects. The alliance with a company of this nature strengthens the region’s positioning as an attractive destination for innovative industrial projects with a global dimension.

The Department of Industry, Ecological Transition and Digital Business and Sodena have highly valued the excellent rapport shown during the meeting, as well as the strategic interest of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) in exploring new avenues of collaboration. “This agreement is part of the strategy for internationalization and attraction of industrial investment, and represents a significant step in strengthening relations with top-tier industrial partners at a global level,” added Guillermo Alonso of Sodena.
