Sodena has granted €450,000 in financial support to Artain25, the company formed by former employees of Ternua Group that has acquired the Lorpen plant in Etxalar. This financing is structured as a €350,000 loan and a €100,000 guarantee, and aims to ensure the continuity of industrial activity and the maintenance of 28 jobs.
The acquisition of the plant was fully funded with own funds contributed by the partners of Artain25, who invested a total of €450,000. Of this amount, €400,000 corresponded to the payment for the production unit, while €54,006.84 covered the outstanding instalments of the leasing agreement with BBVA.
With this financial backing, Sodena is reinforcing a business initiative driven by the workforce itself, aimed at ensuring the viability of a strategic industrial facility in the Bidasoa region, following Ternua Group’s filing for insolvency proceedings.
The Regional Minister for Industry and for Business Ecological and Digital Transition of the Government of Navarre, Mikel Irujo, highlighted “the commitment, enthusiasm and tenacity of this group of 28 former employees who have made possible a new opportunity for the continuity of the Etxalar plant.” He also underlined that it is an initiative that is “solid from a business standpoint and essential for maintaining industrial activity in the area.”
Artain25 is chaired by David Uria, who served as Industrial Director of Ternua Group in Navarre for the past fifteen years. The company’s board of directors also includes, among others, Gerardo Ameztoy, former board member of Ternua Group, and Josune Córdoba, previously a member of the company’s Administration Department
