Sodena, through its Invest in Navarra area, is actively participating in a new edition of the Socioeconomic Activation Plan for the Zona Media, an initiative promoted by the Association of Companies of the Zona Media of Navarre (AEZMNA) and the Zona Media Consortium, which strengthens public–private collaboration as a lever for territorial development.
The Tafalla Kulturgunea Cultural Center recently hosted the first of four co-creation sessions planned to renew the region’s industrial narrative. These meetings bring together technical and political staff from local councils, territorial stakeholders, and companies, reflecting the cooperative nature of the plan and its shared objective: strengthening the economic fabric of Navarre’s Zona Media.
Since its launch in 2017, the Activation Plan has maintained a clear and consistent mission: to boost economic activity, generate quality employment, and improve the well-being of the population by building on the territory’s own strengths. It is Navarre’s only cooperative industrial activation plan, aligned with the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S4), and focused on key areas such as industry, investment attraction, sustainability, the circular economy, and the improvement of business infrastructure and services.
In this new edition, the plan is advancing the development of two strategic projects aimed at consolidating a more cohesive, industrial, sustainable, and competitive Zona Media.
On the one hand, Invest in Navarra Media 2.0 is a project focused on attracting investment, strengthening business competitiveness, and providing close support to companies in the area. This initiative is developed in coordination with Sodena’s Invest in Navarra team, as part of a shared regional strategy, and builds on the work carried out in previous years to position the Zona Media as an attractive destination for new business projects.
On the other hand, Navarra Media Circular represents a strong commitment to accelerating the transition of the local business fabric toward circular economy models. This project aligns with the regional Navarra Zirkular initiative, coordinated by Sodena, and reinforces the commitment to more sustainable and resource-efficient industrial development.
Both projects combine practical actions—such as business aftercare services, investment attraction, technical assistance for companies, technical studies, and pilot projects in industrial estates—with participatory governance that ensures the active involvement of companies, local entities, and strategic stakeholders in the territory.
From Sodena’s perspective, particular value is placed on this type of well-established initiative, based on cooperation and in-depth knowledge of the territory, which enables realistic and effective progress toward balanced economic development in Navarre
