Sociedad Regional de Promoción held the 11th Meeting of Funded Companies this Friday, May 22, at the Bioparc Acuario de Gijón, a well-established event that marks its tenth anniversary while reinforcing its role as a meeting point for companies within the SRP Community.

The event brought together more than 60 professionals from 34 companies financed by the organization, consolidating its position as a key platform for fostering community building, identifying synergies, and promoting the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and collaboration opportunities.

The event was opened by Ángeles Silverio, who reviewed the company’s activity during 2025, highlighted SRP’s strategic role in the economic development of the Principality of Asturias, and stated: “The strength of our business fabric lies in collaboration, shared innovation, and the ability to build community. Events like this are a clear example of that.”

She also emphasized the value of Asturias’ business ecosystem and the importance of continuing to strengthen it: “At SRP, we not only support business projects individually, but also work to create a strong, connected network capable of growing together.”

During the event, representatives from three funded companies shared their business journeys and visions: Jaime León, CEO of Sea Eight, dedicated to sustainable aquaculture; Alejandro Orviz, CEO of Bluco Brands Distributions, specializing in the international distribution of brands through marketplaces; and Violeta Martínez, production director at Naeco Fibers, focused on manufacturing polyester fibers from recycled materials.

These three cases illustrate the diversity of SRP’s portfolio: industrial and technological projects with different sizes, maturity levels, and financing models, ranging from the Asturias Startup Fund to general line operations exceeding two million euros.

Initiatives like this reinforce SRP’s role as a driving force within Asturias’ business ecosystem, promoting not only the individual growth of companies but also their interconnection and collective strengthening. In this sense, these meetings have become a key platform for showcasing the activity of participating companies and fostering a collaborative environment that boosts innovation and competitiveness.

The 11th Meeting of Funded Companies therefore strengthens SRP’s commitment to the economic development of Asturias, consolidating its position as a strategic instrument for supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, and business consolidation in the region.
