The Spanish company SaveFamily, a leader in technology for the protection of children and the elderly, has announced the acquisition of Neki, a Spanish company specialized in advanced location and telecare solutions for seniors and dependent individuals.
With this integration, SaveFamily takes a decisive step in its growth strategy, expanding its reach in the field of smart care for vulnerable people. Although the two companies will merge operations, they will maintain their brands and product lines independently to preserve their identity and specialization.
"Neki’s story converges with that of SaveFamily. We share the same vision: using technology as a tool for protection, support, and well-being for the most vulnerable. This union will accelerate the development of new innovative solutions in the field of assisted care," says Jorge Álvarez, CEO of SaveFamily.
The acquisition also includes the addition of part of Neki’s management team, such as Raúl Novoa, Neki’s CTO, who will take on the role of CTO of the SaveFamily group. The synergy between both teams will optimize technical capabilities and accelerate product innovation.
With this operation, SaveFamily expands its reach and grows into a stronger company with greater resources, enabling it to offer the best services in the sector through its technological solutions, further improving its effectiveness in providing greater peace of mind to each of its customers.
Neki, a benchmark in advanced telecare
Neki has established itself in the B2B sector as a leader in GPS tracking devices and advanced telecare platforms, used by nursing homes, public emergency services, home care companies, and social organizations. Its clients include Ilunion, Domus, Eulen, and various public administrations, to whom it provides scalable, high-performance solutions.
Its technology enables real-time tracking, remote alert management, and integration with care networks, making it a key tool for improving the safety, autonomy, and quality of life of dependent individuals or those with cognitive impairment.
International expansion and joint leadership
The transaction takes place in the context of SaveFamily’s international expansion. The company is already present in more than 15 countries, including its recent entry into France, Portugal, and Italy, where Neki also has an operational presence. This territorial and strategic alignment strengthens their shared ambition to become European leaders in technology-based care and telecare solutions.
