Santalucía Impulsa, the SANTALUCÍA GROUP's Entrepreneurship and Open Innovation ecosystem, has achieved first place in the category of Medium-Intermediate Business Accelerators in the Funcas 2025 Global Ranking, which aims to deepen knowledge of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, consolidating itself as one of the main platforms for promoting entrepreneurship in Spain.
The evolution of the entrepreneurial ecosystem has driven the emergence of startups with high growth potential, which contribute significantly to innovation, productivity and the creation of quality employment. In this context, accelerators play a key role in strengthening the business fabric and consolidating a more competitive and sustainable economic model.
This prestigious ranking, prepared by the Fundación de Cajas de Ahorros (Funcas) in collaboration with SANTALUCÍA IMPULSA, annually recognises the best initiatives to support entrepreneurship at a national level.
Three years of progression to No. 1 in business incubation and acceleration
The position achieved by SANTALUCÍA IMPULSA this year represents an important milestone in its trajectory, after several years of constant progression at national level: from 5th place in the modest accelerator category in 2023 (the year in which the insurance group's project innovation programme entered this classification, within this category), to 2nd place in 2024 after moving up to the medium-intermediate category; and now to absolute leadership in 2025.
In addition, SANTALUCÍA IMPULSA has once again placed in the Top 3 at regional level. In the ranking by autonomous community, it is in 5th place in the Community of Madrid, certifying its strength and growth within the regional innovative ecosystem.
Since its creation, SANTALUCÍA IMPULSA has developed numerous acceleration and collaboration programmes with startups, fostering an open innovation model that promotes entrepreneurial talent and generates real impact in the insurance sector and in the market in general.
