RSM has advised IBV, the investment firm and shareholder of Comavic, on a transaction that not only supports the company's future growth but also marks IBV's first exit as part of its strategy of developing leading family-owned businesses and supporting them throughout their consolidation processes.
IBV, an investment firm, has announced the completion of the sale of its portfolio company Grupo Comavic, a Spanish company specializing in turnkey solutions for the poultry industry, to Grupo Ezentis, a Madrid-based listed Spanish group specializing in smart solutions and integrated installations.
Comavic is a leading player in Spain in the design and execution of comprehensive solutions for the poultry sector. Through this transaction, the company begins a new chapter as part of a larger group, strengthening its growth prospects and expanding its capabilities both in Spain and internationally.
The transaction represents IBV's first divestment and is fully aligned with its strategy of identifying leading family-owned businesses operating in fragmented industries, integrating them into growth platforms, and supporting their consolidation until their eventual integration into larger strategic groups.
On the advisory side, RSM acted as legal advisor to IBV, with a team led by Luis Carvajal, Partner in Tax & Legal, and Raúl Arroyo, Mergers & Acquisitions Manager.
