Red.es takes a new step in its commitment to digital transformation with RedIA, a €130 million funding call to support research and development projects in emerging technologies with high impact on productive value chains.

The aid targets business initiatives focused on the experimental development of new products, processes, or services—or the substantial improvement of existing ones. Projects must include prototypes, pilot tests, or technology validation as part of their execution.

Among the strategic technologies prioritized are artificial intelligence, robotics, navigation systems, space technologies, cybersecurity, advanced materials, smart sensors, and the internet of things. Companies must define both the technology used and the sector of application, which may belong to any economic field—except for the healthcare sector, which is explicitly excluded from this call.

Eligible applicants are companies with tax residence in Spain. Each company may submit up to three projects, with a maximum of two being eligible for funding. The budget per project must range between €400,000 and €5 million, and the aid will cover between 25% and 60% of the total project cost. In addition, applicants must demonstrate a genuine incentive effect—i.e., the project could not be carried out, or only partially, without public support.

The application period is open from July 30 to September 30, 2025, at 12:00 noon (CET).
