POPULIT, a startup focused on facilitating social encounters between strangers in small groups in restaurants, has managed to secure a capital injection of €300,000. This funding has been divided into two phases: a private contribution of €160,000 and a participative loan of €140,000 backed by the National Innovation Company (ENISA).
The resources obtained will be mainly oriented towards two strategic fronts: the technological evolution of the product and a marketing offensive with high traction power. In the digital area, the company will finalise the development of an advanced platform, with recreational elements and a recommendation system adapted to the behaviour of each user. This solution has been conceived from the outset with a scalable architecture and a focus on providing a smooth and intuitive experience.
At the same time, POPULIT will deploy an ambitious communication strategy aimed at gaining visibility, attracting new users and building a unique brand identity. The goal is clear: to trigger exponential growth by activating network dynamics in an evolving social consumption environment.
‘We have validated the model, optimised conversion and built community with very few resources. Now, with this round, it's time to take the leap with a technology ready to scale and a clear proposal: use technology not to isolate us, but to bring us together. At POPULIT we re-humanise technology,’ says Rodrigo Gómez, CEO and founder of POPULIT.
The company adopts a B2B2C approach, acting as a bridge between consumers in search of original experiences and gastronomic establishments that become strategic partners. In addition, it has incorporated collaborations with firms in the entertainment sector, integrating proposals that combine dining with activities such as Escape Rooms. This strategy not only enriches the offer, but also allows diversifying the sources of income and encouraging a greater return from users.
