Plenergy, formerly Plenoil, has achieved a turnover of more than 1,550 million euros (excluding VAT) and has sold more than 1,385 million litres, figures that consolidate its solid leadership in the low-cost petrol station segment in Spain and position it as one of the companies with the greatest potential in the energy sector.

This growth has been possible thanks to key factors such as the incorporation of Portobello Capital and Tensile Capital Management as strategic investors and the opening of 69 new service stations.

The company has added more than 450 million to the turnover reached in 2023 (1,100 million) and has almost quintupled the figure achieved just three years ago (325 million euros in 2021). In addition, Plenergy has sold 43% more litres in 2024 than in 2023 (970 M litres), exceeding 170,000 refuellings per day throughout its network.

At the same time, the network of Plenergy stations continues to expand year on year. The company closed the year with 293 petrol stations, which represents a 31% growth compared to the previous year, thanks to the 69 new stations in 2024, with Madrid and Andalusia being the regions with the most openings.

In this way, Plenergy has already become the company in the low-cost sector with the largest number of stations and regional representation in Spain, including the Balearic and Canary Islands. The regions with the largest number of Plenergy stations are Andalusia, with 65 stations; Valencia, with 64, and Madrid, with 47 operational stations. To its national network must be added the two new Portuguese petrol stations in Guarda, in operation since December, and Viana do Castelo (Portugal), which opened in January 2025.

These figures at year-end 2024 reaffirm Plenergy's leadership in the low-price service station segment in Spain in terms of turnover, growth, litres sold, refuelling and number of stations.

In the words of José Rodríguez de Arellano, CEO of Plenergy, ‘the 2024 results show that, once again, we have managed to exceed the objectives we set ourselves. Starting to operate in Portugal, surpassing the 1.5 billion euro barrier in turnover, or exceeding 1.385 million litres, consolidate us as the leading operator in the low-cost segment, helping our customers to be able to purchase the fuel they need at a lower price’.

2024 has also been a year of transformation for the company, rebranding Plenoil to Plenergy as part of its strategy towards a multi-energy approach. All in all, the leader in low-cost petrol stations is reinforcing its goal of reaching 500 operational outlets by the end of 2027 by boosting the deployment of electric vehicle chargers at its outlets.

Since the opening of its first service station in 2015, Plenergy has been offering the best quality fuel at the best price through personalised service at the forecourt for more than twelve hours a day, while embracing innovation to provide diverse energy solutions for mobility.

Its network of automatic petrol stations is supplied by the country's main oil operators, which guarantees the highest quality of the product offered to consumers. All of its service stations have an accessible and simple refuelling mechanism, as well as a service station on the forecourt during daylight hours and 24-hour surveillance systems that ensure the protection of all customers. The facilities are fully automated and use the most advanced technologies to guarantee customers maximum safety and comfort when refuelling. All stations have free tyre inflation machines and 49 of them also have car wash facilities.

In addition, its service stations operate with a fast and convenient automatic payment system (payment by card or ticket at the pump) and are fully compliant with environmental regulations. In this respect, more than 80% of the network currently operates with photovoltaic solar panels.
