MONDRAGON Health, the strategic alliance of cooperatives of the MONDRAGON Corporation in the healthcare and socio-health sector, has today announced the incorporation of Embega Healthcare into this group. With this integration, the alliance expands its geographical presence in Navarre and completes its industrial value chain by adding its printed electronics technology, essential for the manufacture of next-generation medical devices.
The arrival of Embega Healthcare, the health unit of the cooperative Embega S. Coop., with more than 50 years of experience, represents a qualitative leap for MONDRAGON Health. The alliance, which already brings together nearly 2,000 professionals, now incorporates the capacity to convert complex clinical concepts into scalable devices certified under European regulations, acting as a strategic industrial partner for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Embega’s distinctive value lies in its ability to design and manufacture ultralight, flexible and cost-efficient medical devices such as sensors and wearables, integrating smart circuits into surfaces where traditional rigid electronics cannot reach. This enables non-invasive and highly scalable patient monitoring, optimizing both comfort and production efficiency.

This technological strength is supported by the solid economic results of the group. MONDRAGON Health closed the 2025 financial year with combined revenues of 172.8 million euros, representing a 4.5% increase compared to the previous year. This growth has been largely driven by its expansion in international markets. Export sales reached 33.7 million euros, achieving year-on-year growth of 25.4%.
Currently, international business already represents 19.49% of the alliance’s total volume, a trend that is complemented by job creation. The alliance closed December 2025 with a total of 1,736 jobs, following a 2% increase in its aggregated workforce, consolidating itself as a generator of highly qualified employment.
MONDRAGON Health already has high-value assets, including 1,550 square meters of clean rooms, more than 500 certified references and a robust infrastructure for clinical and biotechnological analysis.
Boost to the Euskadi–Navarre healthcare axis
From its facilities in Villatuerta, Navarre, Embega contributes critical capabilities to the alliance in the production of electrodes and medical imaging components; piezoresistive and electrochemical sensors; and early-stage microfluidics for applications in cardiology, neurology, podiatry and rehabilitation.
