mentorDay and Fundación Oryon have started a new collaboration to better support entrepreneurs at different stages of their journey: from guidance, employability and professional reinvention, to accelerating business projects with growth potential.
This alliance stems from a shared vision: entrepreneurship can be a real path to personal development, job creation, and social impact, especially when the entrepreneur has the right support, methodology, mentors, connections, and opportunities.
The Oryon Foundation works to revitalize talent through entrepreneurship, offering practical training and connecting entrepreneurs with professionals who help them develop their personal projects. It also promotes employability, inclusive entrepreneurship, and connecting talented individuals with real opportunities for work and career reinvention.
At mentorDay, as a private, independent, non-profit association, we provide free support to entrepreneurs to successfully launch their business projects and create quality employment.
A complementary collaboration to better support the entrepreneur
The agreement allows each organization to leverage its specialization at different points in the entrepreneurial journey.
Fundación Oryon brings extensive experience in guidance, talent recovery, training, employability, emotional support and initial support to people who want to reinvent themselves, start a business or reactivate their professional career.
mentorDay brings its acceleration methodology, community of mentors, experts, investors, support programs and tools to entrepreneurs who already have a business project and need to move faster, validate, sell, finance, grow and generate impact.
In this way, both entities reinforce a complete value chain: guide → activate → undertake → accelerate → connect → grow → generate employment and impact.
What does this collaboration include?
1. Oryon Foundation's Entrepreneur Acceleration Program
mentorDay will facilitate access to its acceleration programs for entrepreneurs from the Oryon Foundation who already have a business project and need support to boost it.
The goal is for these entrepreneurs to be able to move forward with method, focus, and support in key areas such as:
To facilitate access, mentorDay will provide Fundación Oryon with a registration link or resource that can be integrated into its digital channels and shared with its entrepreneurial community.
2. Accreditation of mentors from the Oryon Foundation network
The collaboration also opens the door for mentors in the Oryon Foundation network to improve their skills and become accredited as mentors within the mentorDay program.
The mentorDay mentor training and accreditation program is online, free, and designed to equip mentors with the tools, methodologies, and practical skills to better support entrepreneurs through acceleration processes. The program includes working with TIPS, a practical workshop, and 12 months of follow-up mentoring with an entrepreneur.
This line of collaboration will strengthen the quality of mentoring offered to entrepreneurs and expand the community of professionals committed to impact.
3. Scouting startups aligned with Oryon's investment thesis
mentorDay will also invite Oryon's scouting and investment managers to participate in its investor community, with the aim of identifying startups that fit their investment thesis.
mentorDay analyzes more than 200 startups per month and offers active investors a monthly shortlist of opportunities aligned with their investment criteria, including sector, stage, ticket, geography, impact, and other relevant criteria.
This line of work can help high-potential projects find funding, strategic alliances, and new growth opportunities.
4. Referral to the Oryon Foundation for job guidance and new opportunities
Not all entrepreneurs are at the same stage. Some people come to entrepreneurship with doubts, blocks, or prior needs for career guidance, employability, or reinvention.
Therefore, mentorDay will be able to refer to Fundación Oryon those people who need job guidance, support in finding employment, assistance in their professional reinvention or identification of new opportunities.
In addition, Fundación Oryon will be able to create a PERK within mentorDay to offer its services, opportunities or resources to entrepreneurs in the community, thereby increasing its visibility and impact.
An alliance to multiply opportunities
This agreement responds to a very real need of the ecosystem: it is not enough to encourage entrepreneurship; it is necessary to provide good support at each stage.
Some people first need to regain confidence, sort out their professional situation, or explore whether entrepreneurship is the right path for them. Others already have an idea and need to validate it. Still others have already launched and need to accelerate, increase sales, secure funding, structure their team, or scale their business.
The collaboration between mentorDay and Fundación Oryon allows us to offer a more complete, human and effective response to each profile.
Expected Impact
With this alliance, both entities want to:
Starting a business is also a second chance
One of the most inspiring aspects of this collaboration is the shared view of entrepreneurship as a path to recovery, learning, and transformation.
The Oryon Foundation emphasizes the importance of turning setbacks into opportunities, supporting entrepreneurs in their emotional recovery and second chance processes.
At mentorDay we share that vision: behind every project there is a person, a story, a challenge and an opportunity to create value for society.
Therefore, this agreement is not just a collaboration between two entities. It is a joint commitment to talent, inclusion, action, and impact.
Next steps
Through this collaboration, entrepreneurs from Fundación Oryon will be able to access mentorDay's acceleration opportunities, interested mentors will be able to train and become accredited, investment managers will be able to receive startups aligned with their thesis, and mentorDay will be able to refer people who need career guidance or new professional opportunities to Fundación Oryon.
Together we want to help more entrepreneurs move forward, overcome obstacles, create sustainable businesses and generate employment.
Because when we connect guidance, mentoring, acceleration, funding, and impact, entrepreneurship ceases to be a solitary path and becomes a driving community.
