Lindorff, a Norwegian debt collector that was backed by Nordic Capital earlier this month, has made its first acquisition under its new private equity owner.

The company has purchased the debt recovery unit of Spanish lender Banco Sabadell in a deal valued at €162m. The business will continue to manage Sabadell's assets for the next ten years.

While the deal has been provisionally agreed, it is expected to close later this year.

Nordic Capital acquired Lindorff in July from Altor and Investor AB in a €2.1bn deal. The Norwegian company is one of the largest debt collection companies in the world, with turnover of €450m and 2,750 employees.
