Interpath has advised AQUATERRA on securing a €65.5 million financing facility, which will provide the resources needed to support the next phase of the company’s ambitious growth strategy to become Europe’s leading avocado producer.
The transaction involved a syndicate of eight banks, including agro-finance specialists such as MLAs Banco Santander Agro Fund and Novobanco.
AQUATERRA stands as a leading player in the Iberian responsible agriculture sector. Managing more than 6,000 hectares, the company allocates 30% of its land to sustainable farming and 70% to nature-based solutions aimed at protecting ecological corridors and preserving native habitats. With a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, AQUATERRA applies resource-efficient practices that enhance soil health, conserve water, and reduce carbon emissions.
The transaction not only provides the financial backing necessary for sustained growth but also highlights AQUATERRA’s solid market position, enabling it to access financing under highly competitive conditions
