Imperia, a Valencian tech company specializing in supply chain management software backed by Angels Capital, Samaipata, Burda Principal Investments, Acurio Ventures y Draper B1, will launch Supply Chain Planning Studio on February 12, a new platform designed to transform how industrial companies plan their operations. It is the first solution on the market to use native generative AI to autonomously create and adapt supply chain planning software—including demand forecasting, production, and procurement—in real time.
Unlike traditional systems, where AI is integrated as an additional layer over predefined rules and workflows, Imperia’s new platform is designed with AI at the core of its architecture. This allows the system not only to analyze data or generate recommendations, but to construct logic, functionalities, and behaviors tailored to production and distribution planning according to the specific needs of each company—without custom development.
“For years, advanced planning only delivered true value when heavily customized, which meant long, expensive, and inflexible projects,” explains Álvaro Bernabé, CEO of Imperia. “With Supply Chain Planning Studio, we take it a step further: we move from customizing software to creating on-demand supply chain planning, with artificial intelligence as the engine.”
In practical terms, Supply Chain Planning Studio addresses one of the main bottlenecks of current industrial software: the inability to quickly adapt to the real needs of each company. According to Imperia, up to 80% of customer customization requests are highly specific and non-reusable. With this new approach, those needs can be resolved in minutes, allowing companies to create or modify planning system functionalities without technical projects, delays, or reliance on bespoke development. The result is planning that evolves at the pace of business rather than being limited by traditional software cycles.
A structural shift in industrial planning
Supply chain, production, inventory, and distribution planning have historically relied on closed, rigid tools that force organizations to adapt their processes to the software. Imperia’s approach inverts this model: the planning software is built and evolves according to the business, removing the structural limitations of classical solutions.
Thanks to generative AI and AI agents, the platform enables a level of customization previously unattainable. For example, a planning manager can request a personalized dashboard showing only the information they need daily, such as sales, forecasts, or inventory levels. In this way, the software adapts to each company’s way of working, rather than forcing the company to adjust its processes to fit a standard tool.
“Until now, adapting planning to a new scenario could take weeks or even months,” Bernabé adds. “With this approach, a company can redefine its planning model the moment its business context changes.”
According to the company, this technological leap has been made possible by recent advances in artificial intelligence, especially since the second half of 2025, which have brought generative AI from experimental environments into industrial applications.
