Fundalogy, the organization dedicated to promoting socially impactful entrepreneurial projects under the Unicaja Foundation, is backing Heuristik, a Health Tech company, which has developed a software solution to significantly enhance patient identification efficiency in healthcare settings using technologies such as biometrics and Artificial Intelligence.
The Managing Director of Fundalogy, Javier de Pro, and the CEO of Heuristik, Antxon Caballero, have signed an agreement under which Fundalogy will provide financial support to foster the growth of this company, which aims to establish itself as a key change agent in the healthcare sector by improving safety and optimizing hospital processes.
A commitment to the healthcare of the future
Heuristik has developed software that leverages advanced biometrics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to identify and manage patients accurately and efficiently throughout their care journey. This not only eliminates registration errors but also enables seamless management of workflows (appointments, medical history, tests), increasing safety and freeing up healthcare personnel resources.
Thanks to this technology, patient identification errors are reduced, which can save lives while also improving healthcare delivery by making processes more agile. Additionally, using this software helps reduce the printing of plastic wristbands, contributing to a decrease in plastic waste by up to 90%.
With this investment, Fundalogy strengthens its commitment to healthcare innovation—a key sector in Andalusia—with the goal of supporting the implementation of technology-based solutions that drive significant improvements in the healthcare system.
