Escalona & de Fuentes has appointed Salvador Bautista Enciso as partner and head of its Family Business Practice, further strengthening one of the firm’s strategic areas and reinforcing its position in advising family-owned businesses and corporate groups.
Salvador Bautista brings extensive experience in corporate law, corporate governance, board secretariat functions, and M&A transactions. He began his professional career at Cuatrecasas and spent a significant part of his career at Bergé y Compañía, where he served as General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Directors, playing an active role in corporate governance processes, generational succession planning, and complex corporate transactions.
His practice focuses on domestic and international corporate advisory work, with particular expertise in corporate governance, boards of directors, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate finance. He also has substantial experience advising family-owned businesses and has maintained a strong institutional relationship with the Family Business Institute (Instituto de la Empresa Familiar).
According to Joaquín de Fuentes Bardají and José Antonio Escalona, the firm’s Co-Managing Partners, Salvador Bautista’s appointment reflects the firm’s strategic commitment to providing family businesses with advice that combines technical excellence with a deep understanding of their organizational, succession, and growth challenges.
With this appointment, Escalona & de Fuentes strengthens one of its most promising practice areas and continues to advance its growth strategy through the incorporation of top-tier professionals.
