Dentons has advised TAQA, one of the largest publicly listed integrated utilities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, on its acquisition of GS Inima from GS Engineering & Construction for approximately $1.2 billion.

This strategic acquisition enhances TAQA’s position as a global leader in low-carbon water solutions and significantly expands its desalination and water treatment capacity. It also advances TAQA’s goal of increasing the use of energy-efficient reverse osmosis (RO) technology across its worldwide operations.

A cross-border Dentons team, with members from the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Brazil, provided comprehensive advice on all aspects of the transaction. In Spain, where GS Inima is headquartered, the deal was coordinated by partners Jesús Durán and Javier Moya
