Dentons has advised ING Bank N.V. on the financing of a 94 MW hybrid renewable energy portfolio developed by Altano Energy, a Spanish company backed by Pioneer Partners. The portfolio consists of two onshore wind farms and three solar photovoltaic plants, all located in Andalusia, southern Spain.
The transaction incorporates a mechanism that will enable the future hybridization of the portfolio within the Spanish regulatory framework, fostering the integration of complementary renewable technologies. This agreement reflects the growing level of innovation and technical sophistication in Spain’s clean energy market. Dentons provided comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of the transaction, including due diligence, structuring and negotiation of the financing documentation, as well as project contracts with the main counterparties.
The Dentons team was led by Luis Belart, partner in the Banking and Finance practice in Madrid, with the support of Mar Sánchez-Contador, Miguel del Río and María Morales. Additional expertise was provided by corporate and regulatory lawyers Fermín Garbayo, Javier Moya, Nora Pallaruelo, Pablo Galera and Manuel Lamela.
