Cuatrecasas has advised Aleos Capital a Spanish private equity firm, on the acquisition of a majority stake in Eggnovo. This transaction represents Aleos Capital’s first investment through its fund and marks the beginning of its investment activity.
With over a decade of experience and a strong circular economy approach embedded in its DNA, Eggnovo produces natural ingredients extracted from egg shell membrane for the food, health, and cosmetic sectors. From this membrane, the company develops ingredients combining compounds such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin, among others, which are particularly suited to support joint health, skin care, and overall wellness. Additionally, through sustainable processes, Eggnovo obtains highly bioavailable calcium carbonate from the shell, an ideal ingredient for formulations targeting bone health and a wide range of industrial applications.
Eggnovo is a high-growth company with a significant international presence. This transaction will support its growth, reinforce its international expansion, and consolidate its position in the natural ingredients market for nutraceutical, cosmetic, veterinary, and food applications.
The Cuatrecasas team advising on the transaction was composed of Corporate/M&A lawyers Francisco Martínez Maroto, Pedro López-Dóriga, Catalina Guzmán Guzmán, Leticia García-Gallardo Martínez, Rocío Quintanilla Arasa, and Pablo Castillo Artacho
