COFIDES will support WA4STEAM, the international association of women business angels committed to promoting and supporting startups led by women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM), through a sponsorship agreement.
Through this agreement — signed by COFIDES Chair and CEO, Ángela Pérez, and WA4STEAM President, Eli Abad — COFIDES strengthens its commitment to advancing female entrepreneurship, helping more women develop high‑impact business projects while generating new growth opportunities in key sectors for the future of Spain’s economy.
WA4STEAM brings together more than 160 members across 11 countries. It provides early‑stage women‑led STEAM startups with initial funding, strategic support and visibility.
Following the signing of the agreement, the Chair of COFIDES, Ángela Pérez, stated: “WA4STEAM represents an exceptional platform to highlight female leadership in STEAM sectors and to foster the creation of innovative companies with global potential. This sponsorship allows us to engage with high value‑added initiatives and to create spaces for connection between entrepreneurs, investors and the Spanish business ecosystem.” She added: “This collaboration opens new opportunities to identify talent and generate synergies with women entrepreneurs who are driving innovation in our country.”

This collaboration is part of the COFIDES Corporate Social Responsibility Action Plan, reinforcing the Company’s commitment to entrepreneurship and gender equality.
