CDTI Innovación, the innovation agency of the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, as the promoter of the Innvierte initiative and the sole shareholder of this entity, has approved co-investments in 24 companies over the past four months, with Innvierte committing €38.9 million, of which €12.8 million are allocated for a strategic co-investment.
Of the approved co-investments, 9 are initial investments in new companies, and 15 are follow-on investments in companies already in the portfolio.

Non-strategic co-investments will be made alongside 36 investors previously approved by Innvierte, who will contribute €39.7 million.
In addition to the co-investment commitments, participation in 6 investment vehicles has also been approved, with financial contributions of up to €284.2 million; this represents a total commitment so far this year of €1,091 million across 13 investment vehicles.
So far this year, 27 new private professional investors have also been approved, bringing the total number of investors approved by Innvierte to 196. Of these, 151 investors are active, submitting co-investment applications to Innvierte.
Innvierte
Innvierte is an initiative aimed at promoting business innovation through venture capital investment in technology-based or innovative companies. This program is implemented through the closed-end collective investment company Innvierte Economía Sostenible SICC S.M.E., S.A., self-managed and supervised by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), with CDTI Innovación as its sole shareholder.
To date, CDTI Innovación has committed €2,898 million across 65 investment vehicles that have invested in over 636 companies, and through its co-investment line, has directly committed €761 million in 199 companies.
Innvierte is part of the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology, and Innovation 2021-2027, approved by the Council of Ministers in September 2020. This strategy outlines the objectives, reforms, and measures to be adopted across R&D&I to boost growth and impact, and serves as a cornerstone for the Government's R&D&I policy in the coming years.

The Centre for the Development of Technology and Innovation (CDTI E.P.E.) is the innovation agency of the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, with the goal of promoting technological innovation in the business sector.
