Accelerating the evolution of future mobility through artificial intelligence and sustainability is the main goal of the 4th edition of the Digital Factory call for startups. The platform is promoted by Crédit Agricole Auto Bank Group—the mobility bank controlled by CA Personal Finance & Mobility—and I3P, the Innovative Companies Incubator of the Politecnico di Torino.
The call was presented at VivaTech, Europe’s largest startup event (held June 11–14 in Paris), where I3P is an ecosystem partner. Titled “The Future of Automotive Finance: AI, Integration, and Sustainability,” the initiative targets startups and innovative companies from across Europe that are ready to propose cutting-edge solutions for the mobility and vehicle financing sectors.
This year, the focus is on Italy, France, and Spain—countries where CA Auto Bank aims to further strengthen its presence and commitment to innovation.
The best proposals will allow selected companies to collaborate directly with CA Auto Bank and its rental company Drivalia in the development of a Proof-of-Concept (PoC). This pilot project could pave the way for a potential commercial relationship with the Group. Additionally, early-stage startups will have the opportunity to join I3P’s incubation program, gaining access to strategic mentoring, training, and networking to foster their growth.
The Digital Factory platform aims to identify new solutions and technologies that can drive the digital transformation of CA Auto Bank and Drivalia, accelerating their internal innovation processes. The initiative has proven successful: in 2024 alone, more than 150 proposals were received, and 6 startups were selected to develop their innovative initiatives. The project is part of Start&Pulse, Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility’s European program dedicated to startups and innovation.
“Innovation has always been part of CA Auto Bank’s DNA. We firmly believe that startups—with their disruptive drive and speed of development—are a key engine for anticipating the future challenges of mobility,” said Giacomo Carelli, CEO and General Manager of CA Auto Bank. “The launch of this new Digital Factory call, supported by the valuable contribution of I3P, will allow us to integrate the brightest ideas, ensuring our leadership in a constantly evolving sector.”
“The long-standing collaboration between the Politecnico di Torino’s Incubator and the CA Auto Bank Group continues to thrive through this new joint initiative, designed to create value for all stakeholders: for the international bank seeking technologically advanced solutions, and for the innovative young companies we engage with daily to strengthen their potential,” said Giuseppe Scellato, President of I3P. “We’re ready to contribute all our expertise, developed over more than 25 years in the innovation sector, to identify and support the best talent on this journey.”
