The Murcia-based technology company Widhoc Smart Solutions, specialising in digital solutions for precision agriculture, has announced the acquisition of the assets and business portfolio of ec2ce for nearly €1 million. ec2ce is a company focused on the development of predictive models and artificial intelligence algorithms applied to the agri-food sector.

This strategic transaction involves the incorporation of technology, expertise and advanced solutions based on machine learning and data analytics, enabling Widhoc to expand and strengthen its value proposition aimed at crop optimisation, improved agronomic decision-making, and increased efficiency and sustainability across the primary sector.

In 2024, Widhoc established itself as one of Spain’s most relevant agritech companies thanks to the development of innovative solutions based on smart sensors, efficient water management and the digitalisation of agricultural operations—a year in which it closed a funding round of nearly €2 million. Within this context, the acquisition of ec2ce forms part of a broader growth strategy and the consolidation of an integrated digital agriculture model, supported by a robust technological ecosystem in which TK Analytics Group participates as one of the technology partners, contributing capabilities in software development, advanced analytics, data architecture and platform scalability.

As a key differentiating asset, Widhoc operates its 4eGrowth SaaS platform, a proprietary solution that integrates field sensor data, satellite information, predictive models and artificial intelligence within a unified environment. The platform enables farmers, technicians and agricultural organisations to monitor crops in real time, anticipate risks, optimise resource usage—particularly water—and improve the profitability and sustainability of farming operations. The integration of ec2ce’s assets directly strengthens the analytical and predictive capabilities of 4eGrowth, accelerating its functional development and scalability into new markets.

The transaction also builds on Widhoc’s collaboration with GranIOT, a company specialising in remote sensing applied to agriculture, in which the Murcian agritech has already invested and with which it maintains a close working relationship. This alliance reinforces Widhoc’s commitment to combining satellite data, field sensors and artificial intelligence as key levers to transform crop management and monitoring.

Juan Giménez, Managing Director of Widhoc Smart Solutions, stated that “this transaction represents a very important step in the company’s evolution, as it allows us to integrate new technological capabilities, accelerate the development of data-driven solutions and continue delivering real value to the agricultural sector, while promoting a more efficient, sustainable and technologically advanced form of agriculture.”

Meanwhile, Roberto Lifante, CEO of TK Analytics Group and Director of Strategy and Innovation at Widhoc, highlighted that “the incorporation of ec2ce’s assets represents a significant advance in the development of artificial intelligence algorithms applied to the field. This not only enhances our predictive tools, but also strengthens platforms such as 4eGrowth, which are capable of addressing the most complex challenges of the 21st-century agri-food sector through an integrated, data-driven approach.”

A more connected agricultural future

The integration of ec2ce’s predictive capabilities with Widhoc’s platforms, the support of technology partners such as TK Analytics Group, the 4eGrowth SaaS platform and the strategic alliance with GranIOT position the Murcian company as a key player in the digital transformation of Spanish and European agriculture. Through these synergies, Widhoc reinforces its mission to bring cutting-edge technology to agriculture, improving resource efficiency, boosting sustainability and enhancing the competitiveness of producers.
